Brian is the President & CEO of Insgroup. He advises and oversees the servicing of major Property and Casualty and Risk Management clients of the firm, and focuses his practice in the areas of Real Estate, Manufacturing, Wholesale/Retail Trade, Financial and Professional Services, and Non-Profit Organizations.
Brian is the fourth generation of his family in the insurance agency business. Brian joined the firm in 1992. He began in the firm’s Personal Lines practice; and, in 1995 joined the firm’s Commercial Lines practice. He became a Shareholder in the firm in 2001, and assumed the role of President in 2009.
He is regarded as an expert on the design, placement, and servicing of large, complex, and catastrophe exposed property risks. He is a nationally recognized speaker on topics ranging from “Understanding the Commercial Property Insurance Marketplace” to “How to Best Present your Risk to Insurance Carriers.” Brian is consistently invited to serve on many industry panels including The Zurich North America Real Estate Roundtable, The Hartford’s Commercial Property Agents Panel, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company’s Agents Advisory Council, and Hanover Insurance’s Agents Advisory Council.
He earned the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Brian graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of Arts in History.
Brian is very active in the community and supports many local charities, including Casa de Esperanza, Jewish Family Service, Menil Foundation, Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services, St. John’s School, Texas Children’s Hospital, Yellowstone Academy, and others. He currently serves as vice president of the board of trustees at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services, and is a past trustee at Congregation Emanu El of Houston.
